Forbes, a Vietnam vet, wrote and recorded "We Just Did What We Were Told" in 1998 , and made the video below in 2018. In 2015 he attended a reunion in Sacramento with fellow Blackhawks of the 7th Squadron, 1st Air Cav Regiment, and had a chance to ride in a Huey for the first time in nearly 50 years. He shot the footage in the opening scenes of the video on that flight flying at treetop level down the Feather River near Marysville.
