Don Forbes

Don Forbes is an award-winning singer-songwriter who falls into the vast "Americana" genre.  Forbes began writing songs in the late 90s. He released his first CD, "Somethin' About Guitars" which included "I Just Got Here First" a winner in The West Coast Songwriters 2013 International Song Contest. His songs have been used in film and TV including "Arlington Road", and "Sex and the City", and "King of the Hill".

Don Forbes and Reckless' original music is a blend of traditional rock with country overtones…. somewhere between Tom Petty and Steve Earle.  Reckless is a blend of outstanding north bay musicians: Sean Allen, lead guitar and vocals, Paul Olguin, bass, Gabe Ford, drums, Pamela Joyce B/G vocals and mandolin, and often, Bob McBain, keyboards. Forbes has two CDs out and the band is currently recording music for a 3rd project. Stay tuned!

Their live shows are all about getting folks up and dancing. They combine the original music with numerous covers of artists like Warren Zevon, Rodney Crowell, Reckless Kelly, Jackson Browne, and Tom Petty!
